Out of respect for Dennis, Rob Zombie omitted Hugo's role in the film. However Dennis Fimple died before filming of the movie had begun. Grandpa "Hugo" Firefly did originally have a role in The Devil's Rejects. After dinner, he opens a somewhat Halloween themed "talent show" with ghastly screams and a series of sexual jokes. When the family sits down to dinner with the four teenagers, he encourages them all to put their masks on, for dinner can't start until they do. He was often seen yelling at the TV screen. Hugo "Grandpa" Firefly had a very crude, sexual humor and loved to tell dirty jokes. Although Hugo had a role in The Devil's Rejects, it's not commonly known what role he would've played and therefore it's generally unknown what happens to Hugo after the raid on the Firefly family house. Rob Zombie omitted his role from The Devil's Rejects out of respect. Dennis Fimple died shortly after filming of House of 1,000 Corpses was complete. One could absolutely assume he's just as ghastly and dangerous as the rest (especially in his prime) as he namely associates with them while presumably knowing of their deeds. Although he's considered to be harmless, it's uncertain what kind of person Hugo truly was due to the lack of expenditure on his character. He does not engage in any acts of cruelty or sadism but rather is believed to be just a harmless (albeit perverted and eccentric) old man. One of the more scary and eerily clowns in horror movie history has been given the Pop Vinyl treatment with this House of 1000 Corpses Captain Spaulding Pop Vinyl Figure The vulgar gas station owner looks true to form in his clown costume and makeup. He is presumably the father of Gloria "Mama" Firefly and the grandfather of Tiny, Baby, and Rufus. Satan, this minimized Hugo's role in the film, and lead to him being portrayed as the most harmless of the Firefly family. When Rob Zombie decided to expand on the legend of Dr. Satan as an actual medical doctor in Captain Spaulding's Museum of Monsters and Madmen, the actor in the doctor's outfit was Dennis Fimple, who plays Hugo. Satan was supposed to be just a story they used to lure their victims into their grasp. Cancelled pre-orders are subject to a 20 restocking fee. All pre-orders are paid in full at the time of order placement. The famed landmark was shockingly demolished in 2006.Initially, Hugo "Grandpa" Firefly was to be Dr. UPC: 634482399118 Description This is a pre-order item. It’s the basement of the old Ambassador Hotel, which stood at 3400 Wilshire Boulevard, midtown Los Angeles (seen in films as diverse as The Graduate, Oliver Stone’s The Doors, True Romance, S.W.A.T., Rocky and Se7en.). One location you could be forgiven for not recognising is the laboratory of Dr Satan and the dungeon in which the Fireflies stock up with cheerleaders. Also on the backlot is the street where Don Willis ( Harrison Young, familiar as the older Private Ryan) lives – apparently a neighbour of the Munsters. The Firefly family house can be found on the backlot of Universal Studios Hollywood, where it was built for 1982 musical The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas. You can see it again in Identity and 2009’s Race To Witch Mountain. No longer a functioning diner, or gas station for that matter, the Four Aces is one of several such establishments in the area, now solely used as sets for movies, pop promos, ads and photoshoots. The empty desert is measured out in a grid of streets and avenues, presumably for the inevitable day when the suburbs of Los Angeles sprawl out to the Nevada border. If that sounds like it’s in the centre of a bustling downtown, it’s not. It’s the Four Aces Diner, at 14499 East Avenue Q, on the northwest corner of East 145th Street, about five miles east of Palmdale in the California desert. Sadly, there is no ‘Captain Spaulding’s Museum of Monsters and Madmen’ to visit in ‘Ruggsville, Texas’, but the building itself is real enough, in a Hollywood kind of way. Rob Zombie delivers the kind of balls-out horror movie all 12-year-old boys want to make, before dreary good taste saps that furious energy. Hooray, as they say, for Captain Spaulding.
